Trip interruption costs: Car breakdowns have a habit of happening at the worst possible moment when you’re far from home and have important things to do. If you run into trouble within 100 miles of your address, you can qualify for trip interruption coverage. This reimburses up to $150/day for three days to help cover meals and lodging (but make sure to save all of your receipts to be mailed for review).

Rental coverage: For drivers who rely on their vehicles day to day, suddenly being without one can affect multiple parts of your life. To get you back on the road as soon as possible, we offer rental car reimbursement to all plan holders. If your breakdown is due to a covered component, we’ll pay or reimburse you for receipted expenses to rent a car from a licensed rental agency. What Isn’t Covered by Endurance Warranty

Endurance plans are some of the most comprehensive on the market, but there are, of course, some common exclusions. It’s worth getting to grips with what is and isn’t included in your specific contract, but for an overview of the parts or instances that aren’t included in most:

1. Pre-existing conditions: Problems that existed before your contract was activated will not be eligible as a covered repair.
2. Damage due to lack of maintenance: You must follow your manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule to the letter in order to keep coverage active.
3. Issues caused by unauthorized alterations: Make sure to consult with an Endurance advisor before having any element of your vehicle altered.
4. Damage from acts of nature, collisions, theft, or vandalism: This kind of damage will be covered by your auto insurance policy rather than your extended warranty.
5. Routine maintenance needs: Unless you have the Endurance Advantage plan, routine maintenance won’t be covered.
6. Wear and tear parts such as brake pads and windshield wiper blades: Wear and tear parts are designed to be replaced often and usually have their own manufacturer warranty in the event of premature failure.
7. Problems from work performed at auto repair shops that aren’t certified: For repairs to qualify under the terms of your contract, they must be carried out by a certified mechanic who has been expressly authorized by an Endurance representative.
